The Campus Executive Director is the principal author and champion of a compelling, market-based campus vision that advances TSTC's mission to place more Texans in great-paying jobs. The position requires entrepreneurial ambition, substantial independent leadership judgment, and the ability to recognize, develop, and advance significant opportunities that strengthen TSTC's contribution to regional economic prosperity.
Operating within TSTC's statewide organizational model, the Campus Executive Director leads the assigned campus instructional organization and serves as a principal integrator of capabilities and services delivered through Operations, Business Development, and Administrative Support. The Campus Executive Director serves as TSTC's principal executive representative in the assigned local market, exercising substantial delegated authority in industry, governmental, community, and economic development relationships. The position independently leads campus strategy and performance while engaging the assigned AVC or COO in strategic dialogue, executive coaching, and collaboration when beneficial.
The position is distinguished by the substantial scope and complexity of its campus assignment, meaningful institutional exposure, and the developed executive judgment and organizational influence required to fulfill its responsibilities.

  • Identifies barriers to campus effectiveness and works with appropriate enterprise leaders to strengthen institutional processes, capabilities, and service delivery.

  • Engages the Core team or appropriate enterprise executives when significant issues require broader institutional decisions or intervention.

3. Instructional Leadership, Production, and Organizational Development
